Waterbury Companies, Inc. announced recently the launch of two environmentally friendly products that will revolutionize the way drains and drain lines are treated and maintained. MICROBEMAXTM Volumetric Drain Foam and MICROBEMAX Continuous Cleaning System, which treat problem drains and areas using a 100 percent “Green” formulation, are part of the CB Professional Products brand. Both products work in a process called bioremediation – the use of naturally occurring microbes to digest waste and convert it into harmless substances.
MICROBEMAX Volumetric Drain Foam is a revolutionary product used to treat all drains and any area where organic materials build up. The Volumetric Drain Foam consumes and destroys fats, oils, grease (FOGs), and other unwanted organic substances that contribute to unwanted odors and insect breeding sites. One 20oz can of the Volumetric Drain Foam replaces seven gallons of finished product.
The MICROBEMAX Continuous Cleaning System (CSS) is a quick, easy and efficient way to clean and maintain healthy drain-lines. Used in combination with the MICROBEMAX dispenser, CCS taps into drain lines treating the drain every 15 minutes. The system replaces previous methods that are costly to your bottom line and harmful to our environment. Each 30-day refill dispenses approximately five gallons of finished product.
Bioremediation is the use of biological organism such as plant or microbes to aid in removing hazardous or unwanted substance from an area. Microbes multiply as they feed on FOGs, consuming the substance. When the substance is gone, the numbers of microbes return to their normal level. Bioremediation is nature’s way of removing problem organic substance and materials.
